Student Grievance Redressal Committee (SGRC)

Welcome to the Student Grievance Redressal Committee (SGRC) at Shri Krishna University. At Shri Krishna University, we are committed to fostering an environment that promotes academic excellence, personal growth, and student well-being. As part of this commitment, the SGRC has been established to address and resolve any grievances or complaints that students may encounter during their time at the university.

The University operates a Students' Grievance Redressal Committee with the primary function of addressing complaints lodged by students and assessing their validity. Additionally, the committee is authorized to investigate instances of harassment. Any individual with a legitimate grievance is encouraged to approach the members of the Grievance Redressal Committee either in person or by submitting a written complaint. Alternatively, grievances can also be communicated via email to the officer in charge of the Students' Grievance Redressal Committee.

We understand that students may encounter various challenges or issues during their academic journey, and we are here to provide support and assistance every step of the way. Whether it's concerns about academic policies, classroom experiences, administrative processes, or any other matter affecting student life, the SGRC is here to listen, advocate, and facilitate resolution.

The SGRC serves as a fair and impartial platform for students to voice their concerns regarding academic or non-academic matters. Our committee comprises dedicated faculty members, administrators, and student representatives who are committed to upholding the rights and interests of students while ensuring transparency, confidentiality, and timely resolution of grievances.

The aim of the Grievance Redressal Committee is to foster a culture of responsiveness and accountability among all stakeholders, thereby ensuring a harmonious educational environment within the institute. To fulfill this objective, a Grievance Redressal Committee has been established to address and resolve issues raised by students of the University.

Our goal is to promote a positive and inclusive university experience for all students by addressing grievances promptly and fairly. We encourage students to approach the SGRC with any concerns they may have, knowing that their voices will be heard and their issues will be taken seriously.

  • Ensuring a peaceful atmosphere within the college to uphold its dignity, including fostering positive relationships between students and between students and teachers.
  • Encouraging students to freely express their grievances and problems without fear of reprisal.
  • Installation of suggestion/complaint boxes outside the Administrative Block where students can anonymously submit their grievances and suggestions for academic and administrative improvement.
  • Advising students to respect each other's rights and dignity, and to exercise patience and restraint in times of conflict.
  • Discouraging students from provoking others against fellow students, teachers, or college administration.
  • Instructing all staff members to treat students with care and not engage in vindictive behavior towards any student for any reason.
  • Strict prohibition of ragging in any form, both within and outside the institution, with any instances of ragging or disciplinary violations promptly reported to the University.

The committee addresses grievances submitted in writing by students regarding any of the following issues:

  • Academic Matters: Pertaining to the timely issuance of duplicate mark sheets, transfer certificates, conduct certificates, or other examination-related concerns.
  • Financial Matters: Involving dues and payments for various items such as library fines, hostel fees, etc.
  • Other Matters: Relating to concerns about sanitation conditions, food preparation, availability of transportation, etc.

The committee promptly addresses cases upon receipt of written grievances from students. It convenes formal meetings to review all cases, compiles statistical reports detailing the number of cases received, resolved, and any pending cases requiring direction and guidance from higher authorities.

The committee is asked to actively contribute to efficiently resolve grievances as soon as possible.

  • The establishment of the Student Grievance Redressal Committee will be widely publicized.
  • The SGRC will prioritize cases accompanied by necessary documents for review.
  • The SGRC will address only those matters that remain unresolved by the respective departments.
  • Grievances concerning fees and related issues will be considered only if relevant financial documents such as demand drafts are provided.
